Well, again, it's either we make new things for the people who have devices that can handle it at the cost of people who don't have those devices not getting those things, or we hold back on those features for the people who have older devices, and then the people who have better devices can't get those features.

Someone loses, either way.

What I'm saying is that right now, there are more people on devices that it wouldn't support than devices it would, so more people would lose out now. Obviously this should be done eventually but it's too early now.

I don't know for sure if there are "more" people on older devices but there are a lot of iPad 2's out there, I know that, as well as some very disenchanted iPhone 4s users who are finding that there phone is now on the "not recommended" list for many things

I know nothing of the statistics, so I can't make an argument related to them. You may be right. I am not terribly bothered by the fact we don't have a higher building height right now. I'm only saying that I do support it, whenever Ari feels like adding it.

What if they made a switch for original/new height limit like health but on older devices it is locked on original

Could happen, it's just that you have to deal with the case where a world with a high height limit is uploaded and then downloaded to a device that can only support the lower height limit. Would you just cut off all blocks above the lower limit and pretend they don't exist?

I'm sorry, but technology moves forward. I don't like the idea that people who use newer devices have to be blocked from a better gaming experience because other people use an older device. Those people should play an older version of the game that runs on their devices. Separate it out. Then keep moving the game forward according to Apple's guidelines in line with new iOS and device releases.

Apple let's you download older versions of apps/games if the newest version isn't compatible with the device.

Apple let's you download older versions of apps/games if the newest version isn't compatible with the device.

Apple only allows it when the app developer goes to extra effort to make that possible. Here is the Apple page describing this: http://support.apple.../en-us/HT201377

It says:

Find the app and choose Download. You'll see a message telling you if a compatible version is available. Tap Confirm to install this version.
If a compatible version isn't available, you can try contacting the app developer. Look for contact information on the app's product page in the App Store or Mac App Store.

For most apps, once the app requires iOS 7, there is no way to download the iOS 6 version of the app, without updating your device to iOS 7 first.

But if the Ari wants to, and if Apple will allow it, Eden 1.7 can be made available. Remember that Apple shut down Eden 1.7 for a while, and Ari was only allowed to put it back on the app store by disabling search. So we might end up with an Eden 1.7 that has no search, for use by people like me who still have iOS 5.0

The app developer could also choose to create another separate version of the app, called "MegaGame Classic", to run on older devices, or they can leave "MegaGame" alone and make the new app called "MegaGame Pro".

In the App Store, the 4th sample screen shot is from my world: Tokyo Unified Amuro'44121191'53 (compare)

The official version has the date 10/11/2015. Accept no substitutes™  ^_^  (I also figured out the file format)

This was a minor poll taken a couple weeks ago. Not much if a sample size but the ratio kinda shows that iPad 2 is very prominent in the eden community
